]]> A pilot plant trial was undertaken mid 2021 utilising our Turboscrubber technology in conjunction with Noram International at a pulp and paper making site in Europe.

The application required the absorption of SO2 into Ca(OH)2 rich solution to produce a cooking liquor necessary to produce pulp from wood. Turboscrubber was of particular interest for this application due to the site’s existing scaling issues and the Turboscrubber’s ability for non-clogging operation. With the information gathered and successful trials the project is planned to progress further to full size plant.
